Infra collection by Richard Mosse
A military village emerges from the hills of hot pink. A soldier lurks in a crimson jungle. A man with a face erupted in scar tissue from a war trauma pauses for a portrait. Photographer Richard Mosse has captured the Congo using Kodak Aerochrome, a discontinued military surveillance film used to detect an invisible spectrum of infrared light, warping the hues of green into a landscape of lavender and revealing much more than an image shot on typical film would.
The Ireland-born photographer’s striking new series Infra documents a land of turbulent, shifting politics, systematic massacres, and unrelenting physical and sexual violence. These photographs are devastating in their reality and hauntingly beautiful in their creative form.

Zombie Bowling Balls

It’s not often that you come across creative bowling balls. Sure, there was the time we had those Star Wars balls, but they didn’t even bother to make a Death Star ball. How lame is that? Somebody needs to get to work on that. One thing that is not at all lame are these awesome zombie head bowling balls.

Art Exhibition: The Art of Rabodiga
“Rabodiga was born in 1983, in Zaragoza, Spain, where she lived until she was 18. She then moved to study Fine Arts at the University of Valencia. Rabodiga combines illustration, traditional painting and graffiti with her studies of photography. By painting girls who represent her alter ego, she communicates a deep hidden world to the outside. Rabodiga tries to turn what she perceives into something more beautiful than the world we are surrounded by.”

Art Exhibition: “The Offering” by Wendell McShine
Wendell McShine is originally from Trinidad and now based in Mexico City. His show “The Offering” is running at Anno Domini in San Jose. This is Wendell’s debut solo exhibition in the United States and runs until November 20th. Hi-Fructose describes his work as “a healthy mix, seemingly inspired by Mexican folk art, graffiti and outsider art with an emphasis on mixed media. Many of the pieces are humongous in person (some as tall as five feet), their scope, vibrant colors and the intriguing dioramas make this show a must-see for anyone in the area.”

Biggie’s “10 Crack Commandments” chiseled onto marble tablets a la the OG Decalogue! I would cop a set and have both posted on the wall right in crib just to make sure I wouldn't ever be able to forget what time it is no matter how far I've come. #streetknowledge
These pieces are the work of Swyndle and Hawks, which are 2 local artists out of LA.
