55 of Raps Most Memorable First Lines...

According to Smoking Section these are 55 of the most memorable 1st lines in hiphop but of course I think we can all think of about 50,000 more just in raps golden era alone. What no F-a-b-o-l-o-u-s? Big Pun? Pimp C? Quite honestly I think if I went in I could replace this list with 50 of my own that could probably give the world a better explanation of why we all fell in love with hiphop but you can be the judge for yourself check it out....but that Po Pimp reference in #7 is on point though!

1. 2Pac "Hit 'Em Up" -- "First off, f*ck ya b*tch and the clique you claim..." - You half expect him to follow up with "therefore."

2. Rakim "Paid In Full" -- "Thinkin' of a master plan, 'Cause ain't nothin' but sweat inside my hand..."

3. OC "Time's Up" -- "You lack the minerals and vitamins, Irons and the Niacins, F*ck who that I offend, rappers, sit back I'm about to begin." - Omar prescribes your recommended daily allowance of boom bap.

4. Snoop Doggy Dogg on "Nothin' But A 'G' Thang" -- One, two, three and-to-the fo'/ Snoop Doggy Dogg and Dr. Dre is at the do'..." - Simple lyrics that introduced arguably one of rap's most dynamic duos.

5. Lady Of Rage on "G Funk Intro" -- "I'm sippin' on Tanqueray, with my mind on my money and my mouth full of ganj-a/ R-A-G-to the muthaf*ckin'-E, back with my aggin S-N-Double-O-P..." - After this verse and the popularity of Snoop's debut, no one needed to ask this Lady her name ever again.

Classic Playboy Covers to Celebrate the Year of thew Rabbit

It’s the Chinese New Year and also the Year of the Rabbit so Playboy is kicking it off by giving you a look at some of their classic Mr. Playboy bunny who graced the covers throughout the fifties all the way to the nineties. If you don’t know your Playboy history, let us get you up to speed.

Hugh Hefner had originally named his magazine Stag Party but ultimately changed it to Playboy. At the time, cartoonist Arv Miller changed the original “mascot” into a rabbit which they referred to as “Mr. Playboy”. The world hasn’t been the same since. Hit the jump to take a look at some of their retro covers. We suggest you don’t do it at work though.
