WTF: Halloween Candy May Cause Obesity...Really? Cmonson....

WTF? So tell me why I heard today that some communities and principalities are considering foregoing Trick or Treating this year because of argumentable evidence currently being made available indicating that the holiday may produce causes that lead to obesity? So now after the past 50 or 60 yrs in 2010 we decide that Trick or Treating, which is one day of the yr (or actually a month or so if you consider the amount of time it'll actually talk for all of the candy to be adsorbed) is found to be a cause of one of the cause of obesity? LMAO. Man these healthcare providers and officials from the Food and Drug Administration need to stop that ish and let these kids go hard. After all thats what kids do right? Man these kids probably don't even know what real candy is nowadays like the candy I ate growing up. So not a single piece of candy that was purchased/produced in the 80's caused obesity but now in 2010 it does? Sounds to me like a cop-out! Now I could agree w/ the argument of a shift in lifestyle changes...from the lack of activity/physical education nowadays maybe because of video games, changes in the educational system, or the growing popularity of utilizing computers but Halloween? #Cmonson that's a kids holiday! Halloween is and always has been a sugar rush for everybody...so leave these little kids alone man!

Courtesy of Avant News:
Boulder, October 28, 2008 -- A seven-year dietary and fitness study released today reaches the disturbing conclusion that Halloween candy, long a staple of American holiday witches, goblins, vampires and presidents of all ages, may be a contributing factor in obesity.

Investing 101: The Basics pt 2 (Buying/Selling)

Ok so as I explained in part 1 - exactly what a stock is, what a holding a position entails: both long and short, and gave an overview of what a catalyst is, however in part II I am going to make an attempt to take a little deeper dive into buying and selling and just the overall fundamentals of how stocks are traded themselves.

Buying stocks: Typically when you buy any stock or publicly traded assets you have a couple of options worth mentioning which include Market orders and Limit orders. Market orders are an order to buy or sell a stock immediately at the best available current price or essentially buying it at its next best price. Typically when someone places a market order its because they are attempting to get into a stock quickly before it rises and they've identified a range in which they are willing to purchase the stock at, that being said because the caveat of placing market orders is that you are essentially agreeing to purchase a stock at its next best available price so if the stock shoots up to an additional $1.00 - $2.00 than you'll be paying 1-2 dollars more than what you expected for a stock. As I recommendation I would never buy stocks on the opening of the market or on the heels of a company announcement using market orders simply because you are unable to predict either what the opening value of the trade will be or the adverse impact the announcement will have. From a managment perspective using market orders to buy into a stock are a forbidden fruit so use w/

Something New: Iphone Table prototype

The iPhone is attached via the standard dock connector – immediately after it is attached, the magic starts to happen. The entire content of the iPhone’s screen will be projected onto the multitouch table, still giving full access to all the touch gestures using multitouch technology. Courtesy of Table.Connect

The way I see it w/ the IPhone, IPad, and now even this ITable I would just say just look forward to anything touchscreen as the new technology for the future. An ITable is probably something that'll be relatively hard to deploy domestically and even be to expensive I might add but in white collar enterprise wide communities it definitely has the potential of becoming a smash.

BP Poll: I Guess No One is Attending Church the Way they Used to....

I guess I'ma kinda surprised by these numbers but then again I'ma really not but I wonder what my moms would think...to most people although as much as they try to stress it, Jesus or religion to them is a relative term which means it's only valuable when its convenient otherwise the rejoicing of such is a secondary factor...

According to News One:
We at NewsOne are collaborating with Black Planet to conduct poll questions three days a week. Our poll question for this past weekend focuses on the main institution in our community – our churches.

“How often do you attend church?”

Below are the poll results...
  • Daily 3%
  • Weekly 33%
  • Monthly 13%
  • Rarely or never 51%
  • Total Responses: 2,299

Internet Safety: Top 5 Riskiest Country Web Domains

According to the Huffington Post:

McAfee used its Global Threat Intelligence database to analyze 27 million websites in 120 countries. According to McAfee, "[t]he database correlates multiple types of threat data from more than 150 million sensors located in more than 120 countries. These sensors--individual computers, gateway network devices, endpoint software, in-the-cloud hosted services--come from consumers, small- and mid-sized businesses, enterprise customers, educational institutions and governmental agencies."

Top five riskiest TLDs (top level domains)—With a weighted risk of 31.3%, .COM (Commercial—the most heavily trafficked TLD) was the most risky TLD. It took this title from .CM (Cameroon), which fell to fourth place this year, while .INFO jockeyed for a more risky position, up to second place from fifth place last year. The five TLDs with the greatest percentage of risky registrations were:

  • .COM (Commercial) 31.3%
  • .INFO (Information) 30.7%

Debt in Black America: Pimp Rule #34

Now when I first seen this CNN special report initially I was somewhat indifferent on it in regards to my perceptions and/or attitudes but then as I began to think about it as a person who has personally transitioned from a have not to somewhat of someone who is considerably well off then that's when I became moved to really sit down and try and address it. "It" being what the segment referred to as Debt in America, specifically within the black community. Also I thought it was also very interesting how they attempted to tie religion and faith into the dialog as it relates to the health and welfare of our economic status as if the 2 are linked? maybe? maybe not? but nonetheless, wasn't religion the same thing that was and always has been used to control us as slaves by our slave masters?
But at any rate, I think there were about 3 different stories that were being attempted to be told...all in different situations from 3 different points of view: a young college bound kid, an older out of work gentlemen suffering from the cutbacks of the recession, and the other a married couple who was otherwise able to afford a pretty good lifestyle prior to the economic decline.

So I guess in order if I start with to me whats the easiest decomposable to not first up is: Dude #2 - the older gentlemen who got downsized due to the recession. First of all I wanna say that my hat goes off to this guy because of the tenacity of his struggle and grind and the shear amount of optimism that he was able to keep despite his diversity, that's god like right there. So to be honest, what can you really say being in this situation....

Oh Word: Proposition 19? Nah right....

Unknown to me, but apparently there has been a California voter initiative introduced that would legalize the possession and sale of marijuana and will be voted on during the November 2 ballots next week. And if approved by voters, this will enable California to legalize various marijuana-related activities, allow local governments to regulate these activities, and permit local governments to impose and collect marijuana-related fees and taxes...which would substantially deny local and state officials the ability to authorize various criminal and civil penalties. Word??? LMAO yo this recession is real and got everybody trying anything to get the paper, even the state..DAMN!

Nonetheless, all that means is that every state surrounding California are about to get crazy fat. That's my word..I betchu if Cali legalizes this then all of the "smart" police officers will be trying to relocate to all of the Californian border states to go and get that cake. I mean if you think about it, legalize weed in Cali...now everyone is going to begin looking at it as a hub/entry point to at least get things in but because naturally you can't keep everything there and everyone is gonna be rushing in and trying to flee back home with the work anyway.... but the bottom line is they still gotta go through Neveda, Arizona, Oregon so if those states where smart all they'll need to do is built up their police forces to tackle trafficking around the border and take all the work they can confiscate and take it right back and sell it in the streets of Cali to create a money tunnel....at least that what I would do! That's why i could never be a police officer because I'll be the nastiest and grimiest pig you would ever see! Jesus weep!

Street Knowledge: D!ddy on “Fly 101″

Shouts out to Diddy! But although I'm feeling Diddy for this I had to do the remix...

Rule #1 - Options - I agree w/ Diddy on this hands down. You always gotta keep something for anything, anytime, anywhere.

Rule #2 - Originality - No matter what chu do, you just gotta do it like only you can so that way even if you and somebody share similarities, it just ain't quite the same!

Rule #3 - Flavor - call it swag, wavvy, dope boy fresh, or whatever you like but I think you get the message

Rule #4 - Extra Cash - I agree w/ Diddy on this a well. No matter how fly you think you are if you just sit there and nurse that Miller Lite all night or go to the strip club and not throw up any ones then you gonna look like a straight sucka! You Lose!

Rule #5 - Fresh - Probably the most overlooked rule: Bottom line if you don't smell fly, than you are dead out here swimming in a pool of women.

Rule #6 - D!ck Riders or Groupie Love - If you don't have any lil nieces or nephews out here trying to copy your style or you are that kid feeling yaself w/ no girls you are not popping son. 99.9% of people fall into this category. Especially the kid coming up the block w/ the latest threads on but ain't got no girls in his back pocket! LMAO

Peace & Love....stay wavvy!
