In an attempt to cut the UK’s rising rates of herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea, British health officials say that sexually-transmitted infections will soon be able to be diagnosed by placing urine or saliva on a computer chip, plugging it into their cell phones or computers, and getting results within minutes.

Seven sources, including the Medical Research Council, have pumped more than $6 million into the UK Clinical Research Collaboration to fund the project, according to The Guardian.

“Your mobile phone can be your mobile doctor,” said Dr. Tariq Sadiq, a physician in sexual health and HIV at Saint George’s University of London, who is leading the project. “It diagnoses whether you’ve got one of a range of STIs, such as chlamydia or gonorrhea, and tells you where to go next to get treatment.”

Oh Really??: A Racial Slur Database

     Whoa!!! I don't know how I ran into this but apparently there is this guy on Twitter @RacistTom who just blasts racist comments all day and even has published or makes reference to a Racial Slur Database located here which essentially outlines an exhaustive listings of racial slurs, which ethic origin each represents and/or the applicable race, and the reason /rationale for the use of the slur. And...apparently there a whole lot more insults about us that even I knew like "eraser head" which is for black people described as because of their Afros looking like school chalkboard erasers or for Arabs, "hucka-lucka" - which is described as being derived from the sound of them speaking.

     Even more so I took a screen shot of some of the latest entries from the kids twitter page...and the homey ain't f#cking around either (LMAO) He's even up on his current events too and the BET Awards too....

A grossly obese teenager died in a house fire because she was too heavy for firefighters to rescue.
Jamaya Herron, 18, who tipped the scales at more than 35 stone, collapsed after being overcome by smoke at her parents' home in the Chicago suburb of Rockford.

Emergency workers rescued two other children from the house but they struggled to lift Jamaya on time.
By the time they got her out of the property, the teenager was pronounced dead.
A post mortem later showed she had suffocated.

Two firefighters were treated in hospital for back injuries sustained trying to save Jamaya, officials said.
'They gave a 110 per cent, did their best and sometimes we're not able to save everyone but we were able to get two individuals out of that structure alive,' said Fire Chief Derek Bergsten.
Investigators believe a candle that had been knocked over started the fire.
Herron was living at the house, which had no running water or power, with her parents, Joseph and Delores Herron, as well as Joequavian Blankenship, 11, and Javarus Blankenship, 10.
