It’s the Chinese New Year and also the Year of the Rabbit so Playboy is kicking it off by giving you a look at some of their classic Mr. Playboy bunny who graced the covers throughout the fifties all the way to the nineties. If you don’t know your Playboy history, let us get you up to speed.
Hugh Hefner had originally named his magazine Stag Party but ultimately changed it to Playboy. At the time, cartoonist Arv Miller changed the original “mascot” into a rabbit which they referred to as “Mr. Playboy”. The world hasn’t been the same since. Hit the jump to take a look at some of their retro covers. We suggest you don’t do it at work though.
